			We’ve worked with Kim twice as our buyer broker, and I wouldn’t consider working with anyone else if purchasing in Midcoast Maine. Previously, we worked with her to purchase a plot of undeveloped land on an island. She is uniquely qualified to assist in this given her experience with off-grid island living. This time around we were shopping for our primary home. We were very selective (read “picky”) in our search, restricting it to just two towns and a few home types. With these restrictions and the insanity of the current housing market, our search took more than two years.  Throughout the process Kim was consistently helpful and responsive but never pushy. When constructing offers I was impressed that she always put our needs before her own self interest, assisting us in putting together offers that were competitive but always ensuring that we weren’t overstepping our financial limitations and taking on a mortgage that would significantly burden us. Though I’m sure she enjoys cashing her commission check after closing, it felt like she was there to be an advisor and advocate for us and that there was no “sales” element to her process.  While Kim did a fantastic job during the search process, I feel that her unique value add is when under contract. It is here that her background in law is readily apparent, and I feel there is nobody better to have keeping an eye on the paperwork. She caught several errors made by the buyer's representation and ensured they were quickly corrected. I definitely would have missed these and they could have caused issues in the future. She kept us apprised of any status updates and also made sure that we were fulfilling all of the obligations on our side and keeping to the timeline.
